The Lace-Cap Hydrangeas are exquisite plants characterized by their unique blossoms. The perimeter of the flower has open blooms, whereas the center is made up of small bud-like blooms. I’ve taken creative license and made my center a brilliant faceted stone with the perimeter blossoms embellished with pearls floating around the stone. Using chevron chain and peyote, the pendant is fashioned to resemble this beautiful flower. There are six loops which hold the long peyote necklace circling the large stone and allow it to glide around to adjust the size. The striped patterned necklace terminates with budding tassels stitched in peyote, herringbone and fringing.
